Common questions, and how to reach us.

How do I correct the distance or duration on a workout?

Open the workout and tap the pencil icon next to the distance, or use Edit Stats for both distance and duration together. Your correction is saved locally and applied automatically the next time you view, rename, or export that workout.

Why doesn't my corrected distance show up in Apple Health itself?

Apple Health workouts recorded by Apple Watch can't be edited in place by other apps — that's an Apple platform restriction, not a Cooldown limitation. Cooldown keeps corrections in its own local overlay and applies them everywhere it shows or exports that workout. If you want a corrected copy in Health as well, use Save corrected copy to Apple Health from the workout's detail view.

Does my corrected distance actually show up on Strava?

Yes. Cooldown scales the GPS distance stream inside the file it uploads to match your correction, so Strava displays your corrected number rather than the raw GPS measurement — your route and heart rate data are unaffected. Editing duration instead uploads the activity as a manual entry, matching how Strava itself treats duration changes.

I don't want to set up my own Strava developer app

You don't have to — Cooldown ships with its own registered Strava application, so connecting is just the normal Strava sign-in screen. The "Use my own Strava API app" option in the Strava connection screen is only there for advanced users who prefer it.

Will bulk export create duplicates on Strava?

Cooldown checks your recent Strava activities before uploading and skips anything that already matches on start time, duration, and distance, so re-running a bulk export or calendar-based upload won't create duplicates.

How does automatic sync work?

Turn on automation and set a rule (e.g. "every new run → Strava"). From then on, new workouts that appear in Apple Health route to your chosen destinations the next time you open Cooldown or pull to refresh. iOS doesn't let apps run freely in the background, so syncing happens when the app is open — opening it after a workout is enough. If a service is unavailable, the workout stays queued and Cooldown retries on later opens, spacing the attempts out. Automation only acts on workouts recorded after you turn it on — your existing history is never mass-uploaded.

Which activity types can I hide from my list?

Any type — walks, strength training, whatever you don't want cluttering your library. Go to Settings → General to hide specific activity types or set a minimum duration.

How do I delete my data?

Uninstalling Cooldown removes everything it has stored on your device, including your overlay (renames and corrections) and any connected-service credentials in the Keychain. Disconnecting a service from the Connections screen removes just that service's credentials.

Garmin shows "Sign in again" — did something break?

Garmin periodically ends signed-in sessions, and when that happens Cooldown can't upload until you sign in once more. Open Connections → Garmin Connect and tap Sign in again. Anything that was waiting to upload is kept and sent once you're back in. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with your Garmin account.

What is Cooldown Pro, and what stays free?

Everything that brings data in or works on it is free forever: your library, renaming, corrections, merging, imports from Peloton / WHOOP / Garmin, stats, share cards, GPX/TCX/FIT file export and the local archive. Pro unlocks sending workouts to connected services without limit (Strava, Garmin, intervals.icu, Runalyze, Dropbox, COROS, webhooks) plus automations and bulk upload. Free accounts get a small allowance of exports to try it. Your data never depends on Pro.

I bought Pro — how do I restore it on a new phone, cancel, or get a refund?

Pro is tied to your Apple Account, not to the device. On a new phone, open the Pro screen from Settings and tap Restore Purchases. To cancel a subscription, use Manage Subscription on that same screen (or iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions); you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
